Sophia Pray / Apprentice Optician

Sophia has been in the industry for about seven months. “I have been an eyewear enthusiast since I was a child and after spending years in the veterinary field I was looking for a change. I was given the opportunity to start an apprenticeship to become an optician.”

She owns two pairs of prescription sunglasses and four pairs of ophthalmic frames.

“I’ve always had a retro style but have never been able to find a pair of vintage frames that fit comfortably. The owner of Spectacle Eyeworks came to Eyeballs to show us his new collection which is very fashion forward. These are the first modern retro frames I have found that fit my face and personality. These frames are so comfortable and match almost everything I own, plus when I go outside they look fantastic as sunglasses.”
