NEW YORK—Eyeglass retailer Warby Parker, founded online in 2010, plans to have nearly 100 stores across the U.S. by the end of this year. Warby Parker CEO, Neil Blumenthal, told CNBC last week in a report that the company, which closed out 2017 with 64 brick-and-mortar stores/locations across the country, said, “We think the presentation by retail experts of 'either [online] or [offline]’ is a false choice," Blumenthal said. "It really is the intersection of the two… And we are trying to approach retail expansion in a very deliberate manner, where we are testing and learning."

Warby Parker finished 2016 with 46 retail/showroom locations, as VM reported in the May 2017 Top 50 Retailers Report.
