ATLANTA—Contact lens maker Visioneering Technologies (VTI) has promoted Gary Sacks to national field trainer. In this new role, Sacks will support the VTI sales force by providing training as new territory managers are hired, as well as in-territory coaching. The promotion reflects the success Sacks has achieved as well as his demonstrated leadership and commitment to results, the company said in a statement. It comes as VTI continues to expand personnel, manufacturing, and marketing to launch existing and new products on a national and global scale. Foremost among Sacks’ new responsibilities will be spearheading all training and educational initiatives for VTI’s growing national sales team.

“Gary has proven himself to be an exceptional sales leader due to his tremendous experience and knowledge of the vision care industry,” said Tony Sommer, VTI’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “In his previous roles as territory manager, Gary leveraged his seasoned experience to forge strong relationships with ECPs, and they all respect and appreciate the knowledge and commitment to service he brings. A selfless trainer and peer leader, Gary is the kind of team member VTI values as we continue to lead the way in industry innovation and service to independent vision care practitioners.”
