KINGWOOD, Texas—Vision Source announced it has entered into a vision service provider agreement with Minuteman Heath, a non-profit health maintenance organization (HMO) based in Boston comprised of over 9,000 hospitals, physicians and specialists in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The announcement said 68 optometrists from 54 Vision Source practices will take part in the program with Minuteman Health’s Massachusetts network. Jim Greenwood, Vision Source president and CEO, commented, “The Vision Source clinicians located throughout Massachusetts are prepared to provide Minuteman Heath members with an enhanced health care experience and the highest level of vision and eyecare services available. This is an extension of our relationship that began in 2014 through a similar agreement with Minuteman for member care in New Hampshire. Vision Source member clinicians provide collaborative care and state-of–the-art optometric services.”

Minuteman Health’s Michael Boudreau, senior vice president of operations, added, “Minuteman Health is pleased to be able to add the Vision Source network of independent optometrists as the provider of primary care for eye health to our In-Plan Provider networks. We continue to build upon a strong foundation with the highest quality providers to insure that our members have access to the best care.”
