OAKLAND, N.J.—Topcon Medical Systems (TMS) a leading developer  of diagnostic equipment for the ophthalmic industry, has recently released the Topcon Augmented Reality (AR) App. The Topcon AR App makes use of augmented reality technology to provide another level of dimension to Topcon products and promotional materials. Topcon is one of the first in the industry to leverage this exciting, new technology and will be rolling it out to initially support its highly successful Image of the Month ad campaign in Retinal Physician and will then expand the AR App in the near future to include the ISSOCT Conference, Maestro, Triton and Aladdin applications.

Features of the Topcon AR app include an augmented reality scanner and the ability to record, share and save AR experiences. Users can download the app, scan the target image(s) and enjoy AR experiences on their phone.

By holding their smartphone over a Topcon Image of the Month ad, customers will be able to view a recording of the physician speaking about their particular case, thereby adding a new dimension to the ad and enhancing the information provided to the customer.
