PITTSBURGH—Paws N Claws Eyewear has partnered with Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., both based here, to offer optical offices nationwide who order Paws N Claws Eyewear benefitting the ASCPA free coffee from Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., another animal-friendly organization that benefits animals in need.

“It’s a great fit for both companies,” said Sam Shapiro, president of Paws N Claws. “When we met the founder of Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., Jordan Karcher, we realized that Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. and Paws N Claws Eyewear are connected by this powerful love of animals and the mission to help animals in need. We felt it was such a natural fit.”

Philanthropy is a keystone of the Paws N Claws Eyewear brand and its partners, the company said. Since the inception of Paws N Claws Eyewear, they have given a portion of all profits to the ASPCA to help animals in need. Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. donates 20 percent of its profits to 40 different animal shelters across the nation. Paws N Claws Eyewear gives 5 percent of the retail price of each Paws N Claws Eyewear product sold to the ASCPA, recently presenting them with a check worth over $11,000.

“We are so excited about this collaboration that we designed two Paws N Claws Eyewear coffee mugs and will be offering both the mugs and the coffee in our online holiday store,” added Shapiro.
