In addition to more than 75 hours of educational content developed by the OptiCon Advisory Board—and numerous other contact lens, clinical, business, allied health and retail sessions offered through the Vision Expo education program—opticians and contact lens technicians can now take ABO & NCLE review courses and sit for exams at Vision Expo.

Exam review courses for the National Opticianry Competency Exam (NOCE) and the Contact Lens Registry Exam (CLRE) for both basic and advanced levels will be taught by current National Federation of Opticianry Schools faculty. The NOCE and the CLRE, as well as the ABO and NCLE Advanced Exams, the Online Spectacle Practical Exam, and the Online Contact Lens Practical Exam will be administered onsite at Vision Expo East on Sunday, March 18.

Before the Exhibit Hall doors even open, opticians and contact lens fitters will meet over breakfast for A General Session taught by Dr. David Fleishman. In “Back To the Future: Why Our Past Matters,” Dr. Fleischman takes a look at how past and current leaders have profoundly impacted the eyecare profession. Attendees can get a look at history and a peek into the future as they were inspired to explore the possibilities of how they can make a difference and create their own memorable past.
