DULUTH, Ga.—National Vision Holdings Inc., which is expected to complete its initial public stock offering (IPO) sometime this week, reported Friday that it has reached the milestone of 1,000 retail locations.

National Vision Holdings, parent company of National Vision, filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in September with the details of its planned stock offering, as VMail reported. The offering, which is expected to price in the $18-$20 per-share range, could raise up to $360 million, if an over-allotment of shares are sold. National Vision expects to offer 15.8 million shares and may grant underwriters an option to purchase an additional 2,370,000 shares to cover over-allotments, according to a separate announcement earlier this month.

The company’s newest location, which will feature the company’s America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses banner, is in Los Angeles. A grand opening event is planned for later in the year, according to the announcement.

“I am incredibly proud of our National Vision team for achieving such a tremendous milestone—1,000 retail locations,” National Vision chief executive officer Reade Fahs said in a statement. “When I think about this moment, I think about all the milestones along the way: the millions of customers served, the thousands of new jobs created, the optometrists that have made a career working with us, and the lives that have been impacted by bringing affordable and accessible eyecare and eyewear to people all over in need.”

The company also noted that it has opened more than 500 new stores in the past 10 years and created more than 5,000 new jobs.

“In just the recent months since joining the National Vision team, I’ve been impressed by the commitment of our associates and co-located optometrists to our company’s larger mission of providing affordable and accessible eyecare and eyewear for our customers,” Jeff McAllister, chief operating officer, said in the announcement.

National Vision, the fourth-largest optical retailer in the U.S. according to Vision Monday’s 2017 Top 50 U.S. Optical Retailers report, operates stores under five banners and has annual sales of about $1.2 billion. The brands include America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses (559 stores), Eyeglass World (108 stores) and Vision Centers inside select Walmart stores, among others.
