NEW YORK—Luxottica Retail, part of the Luxottica Group (NYSE: LUX) has streamlined its executive retail leadership structure in North America, VMail has learned. Nicola Brandolese, who has been president of Retail Optical Americas for the past three years, will move into a new role, helping with the transition “to support the evolution of retail optical’s organization,” a company spokesperson said.

She added, “As we have been doing in other areas of the company, we are looking to simplify the organizational structure of the retail division to best support all geographies. Our goal is to maximize the group’s results. For example, with recent changes in the retail organization in Australia—centralizing product assortment for the store, among other things—results in the region improved.”

According the company, the general managers of the Luxottica Retail brand groups will remain in their current roles, reporting into the senior executive team in Milan.

Those include Pete Bridgman, senior vice president and general manager of LensCrafters, Alex Wilkes, general manager of Pearle Vision; Alexis McLaughlin, senior vice president and general manager of Target Optical and Sears Optical, and Mary Anne Stangby, senior vice president and general manager of Sunglass Hut.
