PLAINVILLE, Mass. and Vaughn, Ontario— Hilco and ArmouRx, Inc. have reached a settlement in a false advertising suit filed by Hilco in December, 2013. The case 1:13-cv-13085 was filed in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts on Dec. 3 of that year.

The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. However, according to a statement from both companies, “ArmouRx has acknowledged that its claim that all its frames were third party tested to ANSI Z87.1 standards was not accurate. ArmouRx is also recalling the 6000 frame in clear, as there is a discrepancy between their internal tests and the independent third party testing.”
