Greg Lechner, COO.

CINCINNATI—Frameri, a Cincinnati-based company that makes eyewear with interchangeable frames and lenses, has hired Greg Lechner as chief operating officer.

Most recently, Lechner was vice president of business development for Coastal.com, a major online eyewear retailer that is owned by Essilor. Before that, he served as vice president of strategic partnerships at Luxottica.

“We're so excited to welcome Greg to the Frameri family,” said Frameri founder Konrad Billetz. “His experience in optical, both online and in retail, was a huge missing piece for our young team, and above all, he's a great culture fit. The whole team couldn't be happier to have someone so qualified to help continue spreading our mission to change eyewear.”

Lechner said the company has several new initiatives in the works. “To better serve customer needs we’re looking to expand Frameri’s product line… offering more frame styles, colors, materials and detailing,” he told VMail. “We’re also looking to expand our lens line-up in order to optimize the number of interchangeable options available to eyewear consumers, and expand distribution of Frameri products through ECPs and optical chains. The Frameri system can help ECPs grow customer acquisition and retention.”
