DALLAS—Eyemart Express, which ranked No. 10 on this year’s Vision Monday Top 50 U.S. Optical Retailers’ list, will honor and aid veterans, active-duty military members and their dependents this Memorial Day with free eyeglass frames and a 20 percent discount on purchases, the retailer announced.

The promotion began Monday (May 22) and will run through June 3. Eyemart Express will give free frames to those with active, veteran or dependent status who have printed the free frame voucher that is available at the link.

Frame company New York Eye has partnered with Eyemart Express in this promotion, according to the announcement. More than 100 New York Eye frame styles are included in the offer. In addition, Eyemart Express is offering a 20 percent military discount on purchases during the two-week promotional period.

“Eyemart Express is a huge supporter of recognizing good people and good causes,” chief executive officer Doug Barnes Jr. said in the announcement. “Recognizing active duty military members and veterans who have dedicated their lives to serving our country is top of mind as we commemorate their sacrifice on Memorial Day.”

Eyemart Express, which operates roughly 185 stores in 35 states, also provides a lens lab in every store, which can enable patients to receive a new pair of eyeglasses in as little as 30 minutes, according to the company.
