Vincent Facchiano, OD.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Energeyes Association of corporate-affiliated optometrists added one seat to its board of directors and appointed Vincent Facchiano, OD, FAAO, as it fourteenth board member. Reasons the organization cited for the additional board member were a growing membership base, the need for additional board support for new programming and the need for representation of optometrists at different retail locations.

Practicing in his native Rockford, Ill., Vincent Facchiano earned his Bachelor’s degree at Northern Illinois University and his Doctor of Optometry Degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He is among a select group of optometrists achieving fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry and is board certified, a diplomate of the American Board or Optometry. President of the Northern Illinois Optometric Society, he is also an active member of the American Optometric Association, Contact Lens Society and Wisconsin Optometric Association.

“I am pleased to announce that the board of Energeyes has offered the new board seat to Dr. Vincent Facchiano, a Pearle Vision affiliated optometrist in the Chicago area,” reported Mark Uhler, OD, president of the Energeyes Association. “Dr. Facchiano is a highly experienced optometrist and leader with our field and brings a rich background to our board. We are very pleased to have him as a part of our growing team.”

Facchiano said, “I have been very impressed with what the Energeyes Association has created and implemented for corporate-affiliated ODs in such a short period of time. I recently became a member because of the compelling education they are offering, and that says a lot about this organization. I am humbled to be invited to be a part and will work hard on behalf of the organization.”

This announcement follows Energeyes’ recent election of new board leadership for 2015/2016, as reported last week by VMail.
