NEW YORK—Costa and OCEARCH came together in New York City last month aboard the M/V OCEARCH at the North Cove Marina for a summer social.

The event took place aboard the vessel which was docked at the marina. With beer provided by Cisco Brewers and a live performance by country artist, Jordan Davis, guests were treated to a pair of frames from Costa’s new limited edition OCEARCH collection.

Additionally, attendees aboard the ship were treated to tours of the vessel and were given the opportunity to learn more about what OCEARCH does with its shark research. The 126-foot vessel is equipped with a custom 55,000 hydraulic lift and research platform which serves as both mothership and at-sea laboratory.

The data generated by OCEARCH is shared on the Global Shark Tracker with the world for free, which allows students and the public the opportunity to learn more about sharks.

Members from both the OCEARCH team and Costa were in attendance for the night’s festivities and all were encouraged to post to social tagging @costasunglasses and using the hashtag #DontFeartheFin.
