VANCOUVER—Online eyewear retailer Clearly has named Arnaud Bussieres as managing director and Alex Buhler as chief technology officer.

Bussieres brings a wide range of experience in strategy, marketing, sales and finance that he built over the last eight years both at Clearly’s parent company, Essilor, and in different consulting companies. Most recently, he led the eyeglasses business strategy for Essilor International's online division. As managing director reporting to Clearly's CEO, Roy Hessel, Bussieres will oversee operations of all departments and support in designing and executing Clearly's strategy.

Buhler brings over 20 years of progressive information technology management to Clearly. Most recently, he served as chief information officer at Mountain Equipment Co-op, where he established the enterprise wide IT strategy to enhance customer experience, increase sales and facilitate growth. As Clearly’s chief technology officer, Buhler will lead the teams to define and implement its information technology, merchandising, analytics and UX/UI strategies while looking ahead on scaling and enhancing the company's customer experience, according to Clearly.
