MORRIS PLAINS, N.J.—Charmant has announced promotions to several in management roles, creating a new executive staff to support the newly appointed Charmant USA president, Kikuo Urayama, which VMail reported on Jan. 7, 2015. The most senior promotion was Dee Berghuys, who moved from director of product and marketing to become vice president of operations. Berghuys will now oversee stock control & logistics and IT, as well as product and marketing.

“I am very excited to take on this new role within Charmant,” Berghuys said. “I’ve worked closely with the managers and directors in these departments for years, and I’m confident we will continue to work well together, while implementing any needed changes to increase workflow and productivity.”

Additional promotions included Keith Andreotta, formerly manager of human resources to director of general affairs; Wataru Iwasaki, formerly manager of corporate planning to director of corporate planning; Doug Fryer, formerly manager of inventory and product control to director of stock control and logistics; Michele Ziss, formerly brand manager to director of product and marketing.
