Philippe Chevalier’s eyewear brand was originally founded in 1968—which was a pivotal time in French history both culturally and historically. The revival of this iconic brand is marked by a collection of reimagined looks. Brando drew upon Chevalier’s original design archives and worked closely with him to bring this brand back to life in a new era. This first collection was inspired by three of Philippe Chevalier’s favorite constructions: The Box, The Whale and The Mask. The collection is defined by bold, playful and sporty looks that inspired the original collections. These characteristics create silhouettes that respect the past with a nod to the future and produce a brand philosophy that is “Bold as Love Since 1968.” The frames in the Box Series feature a signature box temple and contrasting geometric lens shapes, paired with original “exclamation mark” tips molded from lightweight acetate and metal combinations. The Whale series offers a salute to a design originally created for Lanvin in the late 1960s. This series offers a truly playful feel with a youthful injection of surprise. The Mask series combines retro with future with its sportier take. Dispenser Price Guide: $$$$$
