CARLSBAD, Calif. –SynergEyes Inc. appointed Bob Ferrigno as senior vice president of global sales and marketing which became effective on July 20, 2015.

In this newly created role which operates out of the SynergEyes headquarters in Carlsbad, Calif., Ferrigno will be responsible for sales, marketing, professional relations and the international group. Dave Fancher, who was previously the vice president of sales, will now be the vice president of corporate development.

“The addition of Bob to our team and Dave’s move to corporate development enables SynergEyes to continue its strategy to become the global leader in specialty contact lenses,” James K. Kirchner, OD, president and CEO said.

Before joining SynergEyes, Ferrigno most recently served as the president of North America for CooperVision. Prior to CooperVision, he was with Becton Dickinson (BD), a global medical technology company, for 32 years. During his career at BD, he held positions including vice president of global expansion, vice president of global strategic marketing and vice president of research and development.

Additionally, Ferrigno worked for 12 years in general management positions. He’s had responsibilities for the European pre-analytical systems business unit in the UK and as general manager for international business for the company’s women’s health and cancer businesses.
