PINELLAS PARK, Fla.—A continuing education course about blue light will be offered to eyecare professionals in 15 different cities starting this Monday. The “Blue Light Illuminated” education tour will provide eyecare professionals the information they need on the potentially harmful effects of blue light, as well as teach them about all the sources of exposure and the products available to protect their patients.

Supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Essilor and Transitions Optical, the tour will run from August to October 2016. The COPE and ABO certified continuing education course “Harmful Blue Light and Optical Solutions” will be presented in each city. Attending eyecare professionals will receive one hour of education credit, as well as dinner and the opportunity to network with colleagues. A special kids party is available for those that need child care during the event.

The tour speakers include Brian Chou, OD, Chris Lievens, OD, MS, FAAO, Justin Bazan, OD and Diana Shechtman, OD, FAAO.
