Latest News After a Decade of Giving, Essilor Vision Foundation Reaches a Milestone By Staff Friday, October 6, 2017 12:24 AM DALLAS—Last month, Essilor Vision Foundation (EVF) reached a milestone, having provided 500,000 pairs of glasses to those in need since 2007. The non-profit organization, based here, noted that the number of people who have benefited from its work is equivalent to filling AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, five times. EVF’s goal is to eliminate poor vision and its lifelong consequences. The organization helps bridge the gap between need and access to vision correction by providing services at a variety of locations at no cost to those in need, the foundation said.“Every day, people across the nation deal with vision impairments that affect their lives,” said Kim Schuy, president of EVF. “Millions of students in our classrooms struggle to see the board in school and are in need of vision correction.“We believe in helping the world see better,” Schuy continued. “That’s why, with the support of Essilor of America employees, labs, our partners and the community, we look forward to helping the next 500,000 people in need achieve a better life through better sight.”
